We meet at...
Our Group is currently made up of 3 sections – Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
Beaver Scouts are 6 to 8 years old. We meet on Thursday evenings between 5.30 and 7pm
Cub Scouts are 8 to 10½ years old and meet on Wednesdays between 7 and 8.30pm
Scouts are 10½ to 14 years old and meet on Tuesdays between 7 and 8.30pm
A few of our leadership team attended an event at Gilwell Park, London (headquarters of UK Scouting). One of the attractions there was 2nd Urmston Scout Group and their track car. The Urmston Group held a competition which was drawn at the end of the weekend and the prize was the chance to get your name on the car. We were delighted to learn that one of our team, Adam, was the fortunate winner of the draw – and he had kindly put the name of our Scout Group into the competition instead of his own name.
It has taken a few months – mainly because there were other technical and mechanical issues which took priority over body decorations – but he has finally received a photo of our Group name on the car's bodywork.
